Jill Topham - Maid of Honour
Jill is Alana's best friend and younger sister. Jill and Alana live in their own Universe
that puzzles most people (especially their parents and Shawn). Jill is working and living
in Oshawa, even though Alana constantly tries, to presuade Jill to move
back to Ottawa…which she should really, really do by the way. Jill has the world's best
laugh, she has a zest for life that most people dream of having. Jill loves with her whole
heart; she has the ability to encourage you when you are down and making you laugh
when you're sad. Jill is the type of a person who's presence you miss when she leaves a room. Jill's
one true passion in life is traveling, and she's currently trying to find a job as a
traveling wine and cheese sampler in France. If anyone hears of an employment opportunity
of this nature, please contact Jill immediately.

Nadia Authier - Bridesmaid
Nadia and Alana met at University when fate had placed them together as
roommates. Although the room was inhumanely small, the pair got on famously…most of the
time, and especially immediately after Alana cleaned-up her side of the room. Alana knew
she had a good friend when she and Nadia became partners in crime as they teamed-up to be
the unofficial pranksters of the 18th floor of their residence. Nadia is a very good
friend to Alana, and although Nadia is now a posh lawyer, still finds time to spend with
the little people. Nadia is the type of person who would do anything to help a friend
(failing that, she gets her husband Ted to do it for her!) Nadia has a sense of humour keeps Alana in
stitches and a heart of gold.

Jessica McEachern - Bridesmaid
Jess is Alana's cousin who fits in very well when she's with her two crazy, older Cousins.
Alana has been crazy about Jess since she was born and is thrilled to have her in the
wedding party. Alana feels very, very old to see Jessica as the young woman that she
now is, but Jess will always be the baby to us. Sorry dear! That's the way it is!
Jessica is a great kid who is a doting aunt to Brooklyn and Nicholas. She loves spending
time with her friends, chatting on-line, listening to music and growing up way too fast.
She is a sweetie who we all love to bits.

Tina Malo - Bridesmaid
Tina and Alana were fast friends when their men introduced them about 5 years ago.
Tina can be described as the world's sweet person and the kind of friend who makes everyone else
look bad because she is just so darn sweet! Tina has been instrumental
in helping with all of the big wedding details. Her sewing and
crafting skills are a big plus too!!! The world is a better and a more nicely decorated place when Tina is around!
Tina and her husband have just recently moved and are new neighbours to Alana and Shawn.
Tina works for the RCMP but does not wear the red uniform, nor does she ride a horse.

Mark Cosway - Brides Person
Mark, a Rugby Superstar and Hometown Hero from Port Perry, is also is one of Alana's
dearest friends. Mark and Alana really began their friendship when their mutual friends
left Port Perry for University. Mark and Alana were left alone, without any other friends
around (who were of the age of Majority). Mark, finally out of desperation, called Alana
to ask if she wanted to go to Port Perry's finest public house for an ale, to which she responded:
"OK, but only one because I only have 5 bucks." Naturally more than just "one" was
consumed and naturally, Alana still only had 5 bucks. Thus began a long tradition of
sharing a pint and discussing very important thingsand Mark footing the bill - minus of course the five bucks.
This was a tradition that stuck
when the pair moved to Ottawa to persue their studies (although we wonder just how much
"studying" Mark actually did over there at Carleton).
Mark and his Jenny now live in Brampton, but they both really miss Alana a lot!

Fraser Brown - Best Man
Shawn met Fraser 10 years ago, on day one at the University
of Ottawa. The two became close friends instantly. They also shared a common
love of soccer, hockey and basically all other sports. Fraser and Shawn were
roommates for a couple of years where they really developed their friendship
on a more meaningful level…in other words, this is when the SHL became
honed and sculpted into the complex entity that it is today. Shawn hopes
that Fraser and Julie decide to stick around the Ottawa area for many
years to come :).

Richard Malo - Best Man
Another Malo? Rich is husband to our bridesmaid Tina who also happens to be a close friend to Shawn.
Rich and Shawn met at Algonquin College where they were both studying "something to do with computers."
The fate of their friendship was sealed when the two discovered their mutual affinity to Ping Pong… and
later soccer and basketball and hockey and baseball and tennis and golf and computers and videogames and Hotels and now
Settlers of Catan! Yes, they may seem like nerds but the truth is they are!

Samantha Serson - Grooms Person
Clearly, by the name its obvious that Sam is a close relative to Shawn;
his sister in fact. Sam and Shawn are a close brother and sister team. Sam accompanied Shawn for
part of his trans-Australia tour (and the two are still talking… that's saying something).
Sam has always been there, supporting her big brother in any possibly way that she can. Sam
is a warm person with a very generous nature who has a fighting spirit. Sam is currently
pursuing a career in Kingston with DND (Department of National Defense) and finds herself
busy with completely remodeling the house that she shares with her fiancé Brent, Senna and Sinbad.

Nicole Leis - Grooms Person
Another friend from University, Nicole became a very close to Shawn in their early days in Ottawa. Nicole and Shawn were
roommates also, so clearly, a prerequisite to being in this wedding party is to have lived with Shawn
at one point in your life. Over the past 10 years they have had many fun times together and still maintain
their close friendship even though Nicole lives in Guelph. Fortunate for Shawn, Nicole decided to shack up
with another of Shawn's very good friends, Chris (not sure how fortunate it is for Nicole) and he gets to see
them both when they do their Ottawa road trips.

Jeff Standen - Groomsman
Jeff is a childhood friend of Shawn's from Gan. Shawn met Jeff on the gang-ridden streets of Gananoque.
While dodging stray bullets and syringes, the two shared many fun times in "Gan" and still continue their friendship
via the long distance route. Jeff and Shawn have spent many a night playing "guts" with the boys, soccer or just
hanging out. Congrats to Jeff and Jenn who were
recently married in a beautiful wedding in Gananoque. Oh ya boys "still won't tell" ;)
